Prior to Arrival

Please Choose Before you arrive, it is imperative to make sure your tow vehicle is in good working condition, meets the renter’s insurance requirements and has the proper working equipment and towing capacity. If you are  unsure, I would be happy to assist you.  Here is a list of the basic towing equipment you will need:

  • Proper Hitch class and weight rating for rented camper

  • Receiver Hitch with 2 5/16” ball (Adjustable ball-mount hitch highly recommended)

    • (A Weight distribution and sway control hitch is available on most units)

  • 7 way round connector for trailer lights and brakes

  • Brake Controller

Note: It is highly recommended that you check your vehicles trailer wiring and brake controller operate properly before arrival.

Non‐working or un-safe equipment will prevent you from the use of the camper and delays can result in late pickup fees.

What to Expect

Upon arrival, we will provide an educational walk-through of the entire interior and exterior. Please plan on at least 45 minutes to an hour for the entire pickup process.  We will demonstrate how to use everything in the RV, including appliances, power and water hookup,  extending and retracting the awning, and driving lesson for our drive-able units. Remember, there is no dumb questions! Our goal  is for you to feel comfortable on how to use all the systems with ease. (Taking videos or photos is  encouraged!) Please show up on-time to avoid any late pickups fees. If you find yourself running late, please let us know as soon as possible. We will work with you the best we can. Communication is key!

Setup/Hookup

Additionally to the educational walk-through, we will instruct you with attaching/detaching the camper to your tow vehicle. Next, we will demonstrate how you would setup the camper at your campsite. This will include techniques on how to secure and level the RV using provided equipment such as leveling blocks, chocks and tongue jack. Refer to our convenient setup and departure checklists for assistance!

Note: It is the renters responsibility (or approved driver) for making sure the camper is securely attached to the tow vehicle prior to departing.

Paperwork

We will complete a few forms prior to your departure that will include needing your initials and  signature. The person listed on the reservation must be present for pickup and delivery. Here are the  documents I will need from the listed renter:  (Having copies made or emailed or texted prior to arrival can help save time!)

Checklists

We have created convenient checklists to assist you with setting up your camper at your campsite and for when you depart. Whether you are a first-time camper or experienced, it is important to follow the checklists. Trust me, it can save you time and a lot of hassle.
